No More Ads! | January 20, 2001 |
We are testing a new method of supporting We're Here that will allow it to remain ad free! While We're Here is free to use, it's not free to run. Our server, and time cost much more than the banners are making (especially with the dotcom fallout!). To keep We're Here online, we need your help!
How it works: If you use this site, and feel it's worth keeping online, we would appreciate a small donation each month. This isn't required to use the site, and there is no minimum amount. All we ask is that you donate what you feel the site is worth to you. We use PayPal, which is safe and well known, and used on sites such as Ebay. Click the banner in the upper right corner to donate via PayPal's secure servers!
The benefits Of course, the biggest benefit is the lack of ads. This means the whole site will be faster, and you don't have to look at obnoxious, flashing banners. No more pages getting hung up because of advertisers' servers, no more JavaScript errors! We're Here will also be less commercial, since we won't have to cater to advertisers at all.
We'd love to know what you think about this change! Either email us or post on the forums. |
